| Restaurant Hopping At The Taste of Yaletown Posted: 14 Oct 2009 01:24 AM PDT
Vancouver food and wine enthusiasts are invited to discover and enjoy the fantastic offerings of Yaletown's premier restaurants during the 5th Annual Taste of Yaletown event. The Taste of Yaletown is very much like Dine Out Vancouver but all the participating restaurants are from the Yaletown area. Taste of Yaletown 2009 will include 22 of Yaletown's fabulous restaurants offering special three-course tasting menus for set prices of $25, $35 and $45. A portion of proceeds raised from each participating restaurant will be donated to The Greater Vancouver Food Bank. We were invited to a VIP preview event to experience some of the restaurants participating in this year’s Taste of Yaletown. Normally, every restaurant serves a three course menu but for our experience, we were treated to an opening course from Glowbal Grill & Satay Bar, a main course from Goldfish Pacific Kitchen and dessert with beer at the Yaletown Brewing Co. We also checked out the Cactus Club to see what they had to offer. Needless to say, it was a lot of food and we were stuffed after. Good thing we got in some walking in between the courses! The 2009 Taste of Yaletown starts October 15th until the 31st. You can make reservations by calling the restaurants or by booking with Open Table. Once I get back from Blog World, I plan on checking out quite a few of the restaurants on the Taste of Yaletown list.
